A mother's concern led to the unraveling of a serious plot against the White House. In early June, a woman in Ohio became worried about her 19-year-old son, Tycen C. Proper. After he acquired firearms and his online activities raised alarms, she contacted law enforcement. This single action helped dismantle a nationwide conspiracy.
The next day, Proper confessed to investigators. He and online associates had planned a coordinated attack on the White House during the UFC Freedom 250 event on June 14, 2026. This event was planned to celebrate the nation's 250th anniversary and President Donald Trump's 80th birthday.
The plan was to use explosive-laden drones on one side of the South Lawn, causing panic. Then, snipers would target fleeing crowds and officials. The group's goal was not just casualties, but to cause chaos and collapse the U.S. government.
They initially met on TikTok in a group called "Vanguard of the Old" and later moved to encrypted apps like Signal and SimpleX. Investigators identified about 19 suspects. Abraham Hermosillo Alvarez, 31, from Omaha, Nebraska, allegedly led the operation. He was arrested on June 14. Other key figures, including Daniel K. Eskridge, Michael Alan Thomas, and Bryan Omar Roa, were arrested just before the planned attack. William Lee Spartacus Falkner, accused of providing drone expertise, was arrested on June 19. Jordan W. Rincker was arrested on June 21. All seven face charges of conspiracy to commit murder, potentially leading to life in prison. The UFC Freedom 250 proceeded safely, thanks to the mother's timely call.
